Welcome to my practice. My name is Wanda Brothers and I am passionate about helping people grow and reach their full potential.
As a Psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner I specialize in healing trauma of the mind and body. This method of therapy often involves helping people work through Somatization Disorders, when emotional pain presents as physical problems or pain, such as chronic headaches, stomach pains, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. I also have special training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Retraining) another technique to assist survivors of any type of trauma to heal and become whole again. My special training includes ways to help clear trauma out of the body as well as the mind and emotions.
I work with many courageous people who struggle with depression and debilitating anxiety and unexplained aches and pains which often cause problems in their personal relationships as well. I also work with some of the most psychologically painful issues that are not often discussed; issues such as domestic violence or damaging relationships, sexual abuse, incest, and rape. I have helped many survivors of all types of abuse or trauma to heal and resolve the blocks that keep them from vitality and experiencing their full empowerment and potential.
